The Opportunity


We are currently recruiting for a Head of Planning to oversee the planning function for our One Team Wessex (OTW) Framework. The Head of Planning will ensure that the OTW Framework delivers sufficient profitable sales to meet its business plan contribution commitments via proactive programme management and controls across both pre-delivery and delivery. The Head of Planning will also be involved in the preparation of high quality programmes and preparation of risk models to meet the remit requirements, so that any output provides the maximum opportunity for success for both Osborne and our customers. The Head of Planning will develop and maintain positive relationships internally and externally and promote and protect the Osborne reputation whilst remaining customer focused, working with more customers that recognise and align with our value proposition.

What are we looking for?


We are looking for someone who has a broad civil engineering background and understands the various elements of the project life cycle and has a good grasp of work winning activities. You will have detailed experience of design and delivery processes for rail projects,having produced, updated, and maintained programmes and risk registers for multiple concurrent schemes on a Framework or Portfolio level. You will be able to evidence building effective relationships with customers and recruiting, developing, supporting, leading, and retaining highly successful teams. You will also have working knowledge of NEC forms of contract regarding programme and risk management.
