Osborne Developments is a growing team within the Osborne Group. The developments business acquires land, secures necessary planning consents, and delivers schemes either utilising internal financial resources or by working with institutional partners. Over the past 10 years the developments business has delivered more than 3,000 PBSA, and more recently has also been active in the ‘build to rent’ sector.

In 2021 the developments business announced an initial £250m joint venture commitment with PGIM Real Estate to acquire, deliver and stabilise ‘Build to Rent’ (BTR) developments in the South and Southeast of England. As a family-owned business, we have the freedom and flexibility to take a different approach. The
wider group includes Construction, Property Services and Off-Site Manufacturing. The group is therefore able to fully integrate construction and management into the design and delivery of its developments, maximising the value and efficiency of the schemes delivered.

The Opportunity:

Supporting the growth of our exciting Developments business, we are looking to recruit a Development Analyst. The role will be responsible for providing analytical and modelling support to the Development business through the creation of standard formats of appraisals across asset classes, as well as maintaining existing appraisals during active projects. The Development Analyst will also work closely with the Development Financial Controller to maintain up to date appraisals with live actual and forecast information, owning the maturing of current reporting processes, both for internal and external consumption. The Development analyst will also work closely with PGIM on the reporting of new opportunities and the on-going reporting of committed projects. The role may also require working with and presenting project and portfolio forecasts to other lenders and partners.

It’s a great time to join the Developments team which has significant growth expectations in the next 5 years. You will be involved in a number of projects simultaneously, in addition to creating models to secure funding for exciting future projects as Osborne continue to grow.

What are we looking for?

To be considered you will need to be an analytically driven Development or financial Analyst, with both an excellent understanding of Excel financial modelling, and a good understanding of the development process. You will be able to produce high quality reports and present information in a clear and consistent manner. You will also be comfortable dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and have a growth mindset looking to find better ways of working. You will work closely with the Head of Acquisitions and Development Managers with excellent exposure to the full development process; from securing funding, to providing detailed appraisals, to ensuring the optimal performance of existing development projects as they reach completion.
