Our Osborne Construction Business
Our Construction business vision is to create a vibrant, sustainable business, challenging industry norms to achieve quality outcomes with a focus on modern methods of construction that enhances the Osborne brand and focuses on better returns not by growth in turnover, but by doing things better for both ourselves and our customers. We operate mainly within London and the South East focussing on the Education, Residential and Commercial markets with projects typically ranging in value from £5m through to £60m.
Supporting our South Construction team, we are currently recruiting for a Design Coordinator. The Design Coordinator will be supporting schemes across the south but will initially focus on two schemes in the Brighton area and provide assistance and support to the project Design Manager who will be responsible for the management of all design activities of a project or projects during the delivery phase of the project (Gateways 6-9).
The Design Coordinator will ensure that design activities are tracked and monitored to contribute to making our customers project objectives successful. This will be achieved by managing the risks and opportunities in the design process to achieve price competitiveness, delivered professionally and with excellent personal service.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Design Coordinator who has good experience of supporting management of design on a diverse range of schemes. You will have experience of dealing with an extended network including clients and consultants and good knowledge of building regulations, specifications, statutory authorities, BREEAM and the planning process. You will be a committed team player, willing to work collaboratively but also not afraid to challenge if you see that something is wrong or can be improved.
